Certificate of Training Recognition by U.E.M.S
Congratulations to all the Staff in the National Centre for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (NCIMD). The NCIMD was recently awarded a Certificate of Training Recognition by the European Academy of Paediatrics of the European Union of Medical Specialists Organization (U.E.M.S). This award recognises the NCIMD as an approved site to provide training in Paediatric Inherited Metabolic Diseases.
The NCIMD patient service and training programme were formally assessed in September 2019. They carefully inspected the service from a holistic perspective, including examination of staffing, facilities, policies, procedures, structure and delivery of training.
The Irish Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (ISIMD) would like to congratulate everyone involved in this initiative; it is a testament to the dedication, commitment and expertise of all the staff and services involved in the care of these patients.

The aim of the Society is to raise the awareness of metabolic disorders in Ireland and to promote and advance education amongst health care professionals with an interest in Inherited Metabolic Disorders through Symposia/Meetings and the website.
Membership is open to healthcare professionals with an interest in the diagnosis, care and management of individuals with Inherited Metabolic Disorders.
